Next week Duval County along with Chik-Fil-A will be celebrating Literacy Week.
Here are some of the events that we have planned here at Bartam Springs.
Monday, Jan. 23 is also "Read it Forward Jax! Family Literacy Night" 4:30-7:30 This will hosted at 11 different Chik-Fil-A sites to promote the enjoyment of reading by having School Board members. principals, police officers and fire fighters read aloud to families.
Tuesday, Jan 24. Buddy Reading: Students will read and respond to a good book with a classroom buddy!
Tuesday, Jan. 24 is Bartram Springs School Spirit Night at Zaxby's. 5-8pm I hope to see you all there!
Wednesday, Jan. 25 Word Wall Wednesday: As a class, students will choose one new vocabulary word they have recently learned.
Thursday, Jan. 26 Reader's Theater: Students will participate in classroom reader's theater activities. We will act out stories and scripts we have been working on.
Friday, Jan. 27 Flashlight Reading: Students will bring flashlights from home and spend time during class reading in the dark with their flashlights.
